About

Proud to house one of the oldest Chocolate Factories in Europe.

The central campus is located in the old red brick building that housed the Pakhis De Vreoudis structures, four old flour mills built in 1907 that for reasons of heritage protection cannot be demolished. Flour mills provided chocolate to the civilian population in the years before the first great war which became known for its breakfast cocoa and Netherlands milk cocoa. During the first conflict, the factory operated without interruption until the Second World War arrived and after the German occupation, manufacturing stopped due to sabotage by the workers themselves who did not want to manufacture the product for the Nazis. The factory resumed its operation in 1947, continuing for 40 years. Until, finally, in 1987, the owner of the factory, Mr. Immanent Jannsen De vries, donated the environment to the city with the only condition that it be used for student purposes.

With this great tradition behind us, we have the only Master in the world (at least to date) in Pastry and Chocolate. For this reason, every student who comes to us can repeat, while savoring one of our tablets, with pride and sweet satisfaction our motto:

"Bright sun, dark chocolate"
